Large U.S. Clinical Trial Finds Venetron® Effective For Sleep and Stress Management in Anxious Adults

Dietary supplement ingredient Venetron® shows significant benefits for anxiety, sleep and stress.
PURCHASE, NY, Tuesday, June 24, 2025 — A new randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study has demonstrated the efficacy of Venetron® in supporting sleep quality and managing stress in individuals experiencing anxiety. Conducted by Radicle Science, the study has been published in the International Journal of Translational Medicine. The trial involved 370 healthy, ethnically diverse adults across the United States who reported feelings of anxiety and stress. Participants were administered 50mg/d of either Venetron® or a placebo for six weeks. The results revealed that the Venetron® group was significantly more likely to experience a Minimal Clinically Important Difference (MCID) in their perceived stress, anxiety and sleep quality.

Venetron® is a patented extract of Apocynm venetum L., commonly known as rafuma leaf. While rafuma leaf has been a staple in Eastern Medicine for centuries, Venetron® is a standardized form developed by Japan’s Tokiwa Phytochemical, Co. Ltd. It features no less than 2% hyperoside and 2% isoquercitrin.
Venetron® is believed to work by reducing the stress marker chromogranin A*, supporting serotonin levels during the day for natural melatonin production at night, and acting as a GABA receptor agonist to promote calmness. Importantly, Venetron® does not affect the CYP3A pathway or P-glycoprotein, ensuring its safe use.
