Asahi Group Holdings — Asahi Group Foods Signs Sales Agreement with Maypro for International Distribution of Milk Peptide Lactononadecapeptide (LNDP)

Asahi Group Foods has signed an international sales agreement with Maypro Industries to expand distribution of Lactononadecapeptide, or LNDP, a proprietary milk-derived peptide developed through Asahi’s fermentation and enzyme technologies. Signed on March 1, 2026, the agreement will allow Maypro to begin introducing the ingredient to global markets from July 2026, with an initial focus on North America for use in dietary supplements and health foods.
The partnership represents the first time Asahi Group Foods will sell LNDP outside the Asahi Group and beyond Japan. The expansion responds to growing global demand for functional ingredients that support healthier lifestyles and address age-related health concerns. To strengthen LNDP’s international positioning, the companies are launching the PeptiDrive-LNDP™ brand.
LNDP is a milk peptide composed of 19 amino acids and was discovered through Asahi’s research on lactic acid bacteria and fermented milk. Research suggests it may help maintain attention, visual information processing, and calculation efficiency, key functions that can decline with age. In Japan, LNDP is already used in Asahi Group supplements and beverages.
Maypro, founded in New York in 1977, brings extensive experience introducing scientifically supported Asian functional ingredients to international markets through its operations in the United States, Japan, and China.
