Maypro Launches PeptiDrive LNDP in North America | Nutritional Outlook - Supplement, Food & Beverage Manufacturing Trends

Maypro has announced a global distribution partnership with Asahi Group Foods to launch PeptiDrive-LNDP in North America and other key markets. The ingredient is based on lactononadecapeptide, or LNDP, a 19-amino-acid peptide derived from milk beta-casein through enzymatic hydrolysis. Unlike earlier fermentation-based formats, PeptiDrive-LNDP is produced through a controlled process using sodium caseinate and bacterial protease, allowing for more standardized dosing in tablets or capsules.
The ingredient is positioned for the growing cognitive health category, with research supporting its potential role in focus, memory, attention, and information processing. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in healthy adults aged 50 to 70 found that daily intake of 2.4 mg LNDP through a fermented milk drink improved attention and delayed memory over eight weeks compared with placebo.
Additional research suggests LNDP has strong digestive stability and may support oral bioavailability, retaining more than 90% structural stability after exposure to gastrointestinal enzymes. Maypro and Asahi link its cognitive effects to pathways involving brain-derived neurotrophic factor, acetylcholine, and other neurotrophic signals associated with learning, memory, and healthy aging.
