Nutraceuticals World — SaffonX™ Saffron Extract Shown to Support Well-Being/Stress and Remain Stable in Stomach Conditions in Two Separate Studies

Two recent studies suggest that SaffonX™, a saffron extract by Xtractiva Lifescience, may support well-being, stress resilience, mood balance, and sleep quality. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial with 56 adults reporting low mood, participants taking SaffonX™ showed statistically significant improvements in mood, emotional outlook, perceived stress, sleep quality, and cortisol levels by day 28, sustained through day 56. A separate pH release study found that Solifuze delivery technology helped protect saffron actives in stomach-like conditions and enabled greater crocin release in simulated intestinal conditions, supporting targeted, sustained release and potential absorption benefits.
